Touch 'Em All : Sneak Preview at MLB 10: The Show
by: Andy Basantes On Feb 16, 2010 09:48:16 am

Since it's debut on the Sony Playstation 3, MLB The Show has become the premier baseball franchise and ranks amongst the elite sports games to be released in the next-gen era of gaming.

Led by it's revolutionary "Road to the Show" feature that allows players to create their own character and either fight for a spot on their favorite team or enter the draft, it was a breath of fresh air in the "create-a-character" feature that has spawned many imitators, most notably, EA's Madden Football's "Be A Pro".

Well, the boys at Sony are at it again with their latest installment of their prized sports franchise, MLB 10: The Show. Inspired by cover boy and reigning AL MVP, Joe Mauer, The Show is looking to revolutionize their "Road to the Show" feature once again by allowing you to not only create a catching prospect, but to manage the game as a catcher would.

Whether it's calling pitch sequences, blocking balls in the dirt, or keeping an eye on a runner in the basepaths you will be able to do it all in the catcher's experience of "Road to the Show".

Changes are also being made in terms of presentation. Not only does the game look and sound better than it ever has, but it will also be working with a new dynamic camera system which will simulate a live television broadcast, which includes Homerun Instant Replay Reviews.

If you're a baseball fan and own a ps3 there is only one game that should really be on your list this spring. If you don't have a playstation 3...well now would be a good time to consider saving up. The Premier sports game of the year as at our doorstep, and it's waiting to be played. It won't be long now, as it is set for release 3/2/10.
